Fred Dibnah MBE - was a steeplejack from Bolton, Lancashire who rose to fame in the 1980’s from his appearance in a number of Fly on the Wall documentary series that followed him around, Demolishing or Repairing old fashioned Industrial Chimney Stacks. Later went on to present several excellent History programmes for the BBC until he died from Cancer in 2004.
